His speed and power overwhelmed Ridge, as it had done in his previous two bare-knuckle fights against Ryan Benoit and Jarod Grant. Dodson's dominant performance led to a first-round TKO. 

This victory marked a significant milestone in Dodson's 19-year combat-sports career. Despite two previous losses to Demetrious Johnson in his attempts to claim the UFC flyweight belt, Dodson expressed his elation at becoming a champion. He firmly believes that he is the greatest fighter in the world, though he acknowledges Johnson's prowess. Ridge, Dodson's opponent, humbly admitted that Dodson was the better fighter that night.

In another notable bout, Los Angeles TikTok influencer Bryce Hall made his bare-knuckle debut against Guillermo "Gee" Perez from Florida. Despite Perez's 3-1 record, Hall emerged victorious in the second round by TKO. Perez injured his elbow in the first round, rendering him unable to continue. Hall, being the larger fighter, started strong with a knockdown in the opening seconds. Although Perez recovered quickly, Hall's dominance was evident. Hall conceded that Perez would have posed a challenge if not for his injury.
